November 15th - Norwich Film Festival - Industry day
- Technical demonstration from Julian Foddy (worked on Spider-man Homecoming)
- Directing and Writing for the big screen talk with Joe Cornish (attack the block, Hot fuzz)
We spoke to Joe Cornish after his talk to ask a few questions and to get advice about our 15 minute film project.
- Acting for the screen panel
A few actors and actresses gave us a talk about how to get into acting and how to direct actors, we also spoke to Ellie Kendrick (Misfits and Game of Thrones) about giving acting directions.
- Careers in Film panel
A few industry professionals gave us a talk where we could openly ask questions. I spoke to Matt Waites (Foly artist on "His Dark Materials") about how he got into the sound industry within film. We then exchanged emails and I sent him a two songs which I've produced in the hopes of receiving feedback. He replied quickly and gave me some useful feedback such as saying is should experiment with 'drones' to add texture and depth to my pieces.

November 21st - Jonnie Bayfield talk and workshop
He gave us a Script-writing talk and workshop about writing stories, how to stage them and what makes a good story.

January 16th - Great Collisions
Tricia from Great collisions came in to talk about Great Yarmouth and future prospects in the area.

January 29th - Scooterpac work placement opportunity talk
An ambassador from the company Scooterpac came in to talk to us about an opportunity for one of the class to earn a paid work placement with the company.

February 11th - Mark Finbow talk and workshop
Mark taught us about scene structure and what to look for in a script when making a scene.
He also gave us advice on how to settle our breathing when acting or auditioning allowing our acting to be more believable or "honest". He also spoke to us about the arts council grant and how to get funding for our projects.

February 13th-14th - London trip
During the London trip we visited the London Film museum Bond in Motion where we got to see original scripts, Props, costumes and cars of the James Bond films.
we also went to the BFI and saw a screening of "A street car named Desire" and spent a day at the Warner Bros. Studios and got to see the behind the scenes of harry potter including how they filmed some shots using optical illusions and green screen. We also saw pages from the script and how they made props and we saw animatronics.

February 26th- Benjamin Foundation
The Benjamin Foundation came in to ask us to film a corporate film for their charity for housing young people.

During the time of this course I have been going to live music gigs with sound engineer Howie Marsh. With Howie I have worked doing cable management, live light shows and live volume control of tracks. I have also watched him set up a mixing desk for recording.
